  Charles de Gaulle Resigns as President of France (1969)A celebrated general and statesman, de Gaulle was elected first president of France's Fifth Republic—a system of government with broad executive powers—in 1959. He helped write the constitution and pushed for direct popular election of the president. The mass civil unrest of May 1968 by students and workers almost toppled his government, and in 1969 de Gaulle was defeated in a referendum on constitutional amendments and resigned. Aww, I just went back to see what you plated ~ Sunflowers! My parents grew some in their backyard. I don't know what type of dirt they have, but this sucker was more like the Jolly Green Bean Stalk! The flower that bloomed was huge! I have a picture of it on my blog, somewhere in the depths of my posting. They are beautiful plants. This year I planted from seeds - Morning Glories. Isn't it wonderful to see them grow?
Can you come take care of my flowers? Mine look sad :(

Hi, I am a guide dog raiser in Seattle, WA. The puppy I am currently raising is named Shep. I love your blog and I love reading about other people's pet experiences experiences. I also have a website where I sell pet supplies and i have a blog on it also about guide dogs. I built the site to try and help raise money for guide dogs and other animal charities.
