I love dogs, and the uglier they are the cuter they look, in my opinion. Let me introduce Gus...he was just awarded the ugliest dog in the world title! Way to go Gus! :)
Below is from an article I read here.
PETALUMA, Calif. | Gus the dog has three legs, one eye and no hair, except for a white tuft on the top of his head. He’s a real winner.
The Chinese crested won the World’s Ugliest Dog contest on Saturday at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Northern California.
His owner, Jeanenne Teed, brought Gus all the way from St. Petersburg, Fla., to compete for the dubious distinction
The Chinese crested breed is a popular choice in this annual contest. Last year’s champ, Elwood, was a Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix.
Gus’ owner won $500 and will be flown to New York to appear on “CBS This Morning.” The contest will be shown on the Animal Planet network in October.

I'm with you! He's great. The best thing about him - he's happy, look at that smile!
Three legs and one eye?! Damn that's a tough break. Last year's winner is perhaps the ugliest dog I ever saw. I had nightmares for days after seeing those photos.
These dogs are very odd looking, but I feel bad when they call them ugly! They're cute in a very odd way that's for sure ;)
Poor thing... hope he gets taken care of properly...
beauty is wat comes from inner...so the dog is very B E A Uuuuuutiful.....its loyal to its master..thats the most important thing and i dont even call it ugly....
if the outer look only is the beauty then everyone is mistaken since no one is beautiful enough ...to compete with beauty from heart...
urs..hemu...
I saw him on tv yesterday. They are using the money to help him fight his cancer. Poor doggie!
He kinda reminds me of Sméagol from Lord of the Rings. Ugly, but very endearing at the same time :)
Barbara,
YES...I love that!
Malcolm,
Aw, lol.
Drowsey,
Yeah, like I said...the "uglier" they are the cuter they seem to me! :)
Arv,
Me too! From what I read it seems like he has a good home. :)
Hemu,
Very true!
Lauren,
Yay...that's great!
Dawn,
You are very right about that. I can't help, but feel for Sméagol!
Aww, poor little Gus.. I think he's cute, too
Lydia,
