It was initiated after the Pullman railcar company cut wages by 25%, yet kept rents high in the company-owned town where workers lived. The company refused arbitration, and the railway union called for a strike and nationwide boycott. Sympathy strikes followed in 27 states. This is Howie (right after his yearly haircut) sitting in his favorite basket (meant for the remotes). He tries to fit in the smallest basket he can, I guess it's cozy. He started this right after Jessica's dog stole his real bed. He has reclaimed his bed, but prefers to sit here.
Cats are so funny.. Mine tries to get in my purse. He has no concept of size!
