Upsetting to hear about the death of Director John Hughes. I love all of his movies. The Breakfast Club is an all time favorite of mine. In fact, I wrote about it, here, a while back.

Yes it was shocking to learn. Even more shocking that the media is barely giving it justice. Talk for weeks about Jackson but barely a breathe about Hughes.
I know, man...I wonder why they aren't giving him more air time. :(
He has an impressive resume of films. I haven't watch much of them rather than know of them. I'm sure that his influence will ring on through for generations.
Roshan,
I think you are right! :) And you should watch a few more of his films; they are really great!
John Hughes' death really caught me off guard. When I looked up info on him, I was reminded of movies he either wrote, directed, or produced that I had forgotten about (for example, the underrated "Some Kind of Wonderful").
As for why Hughes' death didn't get more coverage, I think it comes down to his body of work. Had his résumé been at or near the level of someone like Spielberg or Scorsese, I feel the media would have given his death more airtime.
