Let's Change Our Moods!
I've been feeling kind of gloomy the past couple of weeks. Maybe it's the weather; who knows?
I thought some of you may be in the same boat, and, even if not, this will help you too!
Thinking positivity, and expressing gratitude is a nice way to get happy.
Also, it's great to hear what others are thankful for and excited about!!
So, for better moods all around, I would like YOU to list something (or multiple somethings)--in the comments, that you are thankful for, or happy about.
Preferably, things that have happened this year; let's make this really recent!
Dig deep too, it's often the small stuff that we forget to acknowledge and be thankful for.
And don't be embarrassed; nothing is insignificant.
Remember to, after you leave a comment, read what others have written about!
Lastly, I would like to encourage my readers, that normally don't comment, to join in on this one.
Alright, let's help each other, and have fun with this!
---------
Ok, I'll go first!
I'm extremely thrilled that one of my mini sunflowers has finally started to bloom! (check out the picture above.) I honestly thought it was a lost cause. They were on the verge of dying, so I brought them home from the office, and within a week a flower had started to bloom! Yay!
Also making me happy, is the fact that I've recently come into a small bit of money; This money I'm able to save to put towards buying a car. It's funny, I've been wanting a car for a while, and it's only when I stopped worrying about the "hows" surrounding it everything seemed to come into place!

Glad about your sunflower and $$$! You deserve it.
I have been surprised lately at friends. Friends new and old have been raining like cats and dogs and dang, it feels GOOD. I don't think I have ever had so many nice people in my life.
:)
I'm happy that I'm getting $1300 back from Uncle Sam this year!! Yay!
I'm also pyched that I reconnected with a guy from high school and he's coming out to visit me next month. More to come....
Hi, Jess!
Cool about the sunflower and the money towards a car. I hope you have wheels soon!
I'm grateful for the opportunities I have had this past year. I was offered a wonderful job and have relocated to another state. We have yet to sell our house, but everything else has little by little fallen into place.
I'm grateful that Princess Gail is so gung ho about the move. She is more excited than I am! It is really great to be on the same page about such a big move.
I am grateful for my family and friends. As I am in the process of moving away from my home city, their importance in my life has become very clear.
I'm grateful for my blog friends. It is interestingly reassuring to know that I have valuable connections with people all over the world. And Jess, I am thankful we are getting to know each other better little by little! : )
Thanks for this, Jessica!
Isn't it funny when you let go of control what happens?
Hmmm what am I grateful for. That I have employment and that my doula biz is growing. I have good bloggy friends and mom is still alive and doing relatively well. :)
Feels so nice to see that sunflower... beautiful mate...
let the smile spread :)
Cheers...
Mini sunflower? How cute!
I'm thankful for my newlywed status, for being able to wake up and see my best friend every morning.
I'm thankful for hot, sweet tea on cold mornings.
I'm thankful for bloggy friends!!!
I am happy about something I know YOU will be happy about - You've got mail lady!
I'm happy that this cold that's been kicking my butt for the last week is finally in retreat. And that's enough for me right now.
What a lovely picture and yes, it made me smile. I'm also happy that you came into money and can save towards a car.
Ok, I'm happy about the cold weather, it makes it feel like winter! I'm happy and grateful for Greg's love and that we are married. I'm happy that we shared our wedding with friends and family and that everyone said they had a good time.
I'm happy we're married and can focus on our lives together, rather than on wedding plans! Lol
And.... I'm happy that I have off for Monday! WOo Hoo!
you know, this one is a very beautiful flower!!
glad that there are good things in life that make us feel better :)
Hi Gary,
That’s wonderful! Being surrounded by good friends is always nice. You must have been putting some powerfully good things out there to attract all of that!! :D
Carmen,
Awesome about your mula and the guy! Good luck! :)
Ferd,
All great things to be thankful for! About your family and friends, it’s so nice that you were able to see, more so, their importance in your life. I think huge change always brings about important discoveries like that. I’m also thankful for my blog friends, and getting to know you too! :)
Lauren,
It’s hard to let go of control, SO hard! But I am truly amazed about what happens when you do. I’m glad your biz is taking off, and that your Mom is healthy!
Arv,
: ) Share the love, so to speak!
Random,
Mini sunflower, yes! Haha-the stem is so tall and the flower is so tiny, but pretty nonetheless. :) Yay, that you have many things that you are thankful for. Hope you are feeling better this week, too. I’ve been reading, but haven’t had a chance to stop by.
Lori,
Yay! Thanks—what a great pick me up! :)
John,
Being sick can take a lot out of you. I’m glad you are feeling better. :)
Hi Aleta,
Sounds like your wedding was wonderful! I’m so happy for you and Greg. :)
Lena,
Thanks! Good to see you. :)
I try to be thankful for every little thing--just that fact that I can see, hear, walk, breathe makes me grateful every day!
I am thankful for starting school after procrastinating about it for years and years, thankful for my part time job, and hopeful for happiness in this coming year...happy about your sunflower as well!!! woo hoo!!
Jennifer,
All nice things indeed! And very important to remember. :)
Lina,
Awesome things going on for you now! Yay! I wish you all the best! :)
