![]() ![]() The Hindenburg Disaster (1937)Launched in 1936 in Germany, the Hindenburg was the largest rigid airship ever constructed and was promoted by the Nazis as a symbol of national pride. It started the first commercial air service across the North Atlantic and made several trips to the Americas. On one such trip, the hydrogen-filled airship violently and unexpectedly exploded in flames and crashed in New Jersey, killing 35 of the 97 people on board. I did indeed go see Nine Inch Nails on Wednesday night...and for free! :) Lucky me! Someone my husband works with wasn't able to go...so we were the proud recipients of her tickets.
The show was amazing...they played for over two hours. I've always wanted to see them live, and never had the opportunity. The show was certainly worth the wait!
i saw them at lolapalooza in 1991 or 92. great show. glad you liked it.
