It was initiated after the Pullman railcar company cut wages by 25%, yet kept rents high in the company-owned town where workers lived. The company refused arbitration, and the railway union called for a strike and nationwide boycott. Sympathy strikes followed in 27 states. I did indeed go see Nine Inch Nails on Wednesday night...and for free! :) Lucky me! Someone my husband works with wasn't able to go...so we were the proud recipients of her tickets.
The show was amazing...they played for over two hours. I've always wanted to see them live, and never had the opportunity. The show was certainly worth the wait!
i saw them at lolapalooza in 1991 or 92. great show. glad you liked it.
