A Passing Weather Predicament

This morning, I awoke to the sound of raindrops hitting my window.

With such force that, in fact, their noise sneaked in and took over my last dreaming moments; showing up as unrecognizable static, which surrounded me and eventually was able to lure me to a conscious state.

The sky’s darkness lingered slightly longer, and the clouds resisted parting, even for a moment, so that light could appear, and witness the world.

Later, on my approach to the city, I spotted groups huddled together, sharing umbrellas, and shielding themselves temporarily from the unwavering downpour. A passing weather predicament bringing people together.

Is it Fay?

I like standing out in the rain.

It is odd that folks were sharing umbrellas. Maybe human kind isn't as far gone as I thought.

maybe this world needs more passing weather predicaments to unite it?

I love to wake up to the sound of rain.

(J--I make a pretty nice skull on a mug for Halloween, and maybe a ghost on a mug too, and I am thinking of making pumpkins for the first time in awhile if I can get my act together....the pumpkins are carved like a jack o lantern and have a candle inside)

Interestingly, my husband and I have weathered (literally) several hurricanes since we got married. I never feel as close to him and to my family as I do when we are safe in our home behind the shutters listening to the wind and rain pelt on our home.
