Pandora

Check out Pandora! It is a music site where you can create your own stations... And...how cool is this...you type in a song or an artist and they will deliver not only that artist or song, but they play music that is similar based on The Music Genome Project. I've been playing around with it, and have been amazed. If you love music...I promise you will love this site.

Some of the stations I've created are:
Aerosmith
Counting Crows
Helloween
Posion
Jenny Owens Young

and the list goes on, I can't stop trying different artists....this site is so neat! Have fun! :)

Hey, Pandora is a good one. I'm a "Last FM" girl for the last few years :) Its the same idea but I think LastFM offers a few more bells and whistles and I just love bells and whistles!

A colleague at work turned me on to Pandora a few years ago. Because it's been about a year since I used it, I need to go back. I like how Pandora goes deep into the vaults and plays songs/artists that I never heard.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for your comments!

I'll have to try lastfm again. I did...maybe about 6 months ago, but wasn't really too impressed.

Drowsey-I haven't been able to find a widget on Pandora. :(

I would not have pegged you as a Helloween fan.

India,
np! I hope you are having a great week so far! :)

Hey Bob,
Yep...I love Helloween, Iron Savior, etc. My music taste is very eclectic. I like pretty much everything. Most rap..I can do without...but I'm willing to try anything once. :D It bothers me when people box themselves into one type of music and scoff at other types. I've known many people like that, and I think they are missing out on some good stuff.

ooh, and while I'm talking about music...there is a band I saw a while back called EndeverAfter. I thought they were pretty good. I meant to ask you guys if you had heard of them/done a review, or whatever. Let me know!

I agree that it's great to be eclectic. I just never saw anything in reading your blog that led me to believe you'd be into power metal!

I've heard of EndeverAfter, but haven't done more than listen to a quick sample. My friend Metal Mark has reviewed the album here.
