Every now and then, I rediscover the awesomeness of R.E.M; now is one of those times. After reading earlier in the week about the 50th Birthday of the band's front man Michael Stipe, I've been in the mood for their unique sound.

Imitation of Life :)
Excellent choice Jess! This is one of my favorite R.E.M. tunes and definitely my fave from "Automatic For the People". I love the line when Michael sings "Today I need something more sub-sub-sub-substantial". I also like when he laughs during the song.
I love R.E.M. It's amazing how fast they went from being a critic's favorite to almost being ignored now. I think some of their new stuff is just as good as their older stuff.
its so nice :)..
urs..hemu..
Arv,
YES! :)
Malcolm,
Dude, me too, on both accounts! :D I LOVE that laugh...and the Reading from Dr. Seuss part is great also! :)
John,
I agree, totally! :)
Thanks Hemu,
Hope you are feeling better! :)
They are consistently great. I agree... unique!
50! How'd he get so old!!!
Though he's younger than I am. :-(
Ferd,
He's not old and neither are you for that matter! :) Age is not measured by the amount of Birthday's you've had.....(I know there is some sort of quote to insert here) LOL
