He helped modernize Egypt and attempted to secure its independence. The world is really, really, really interconnected. The more we're aware of that fact, the better we tend to behave. Like the Disney song says, "It's a small world after all."

Welcome! :) I love experiencing and becoming aware of the interconnectedness between all beings. It's a wonderful feeling, and it does invoke compassion when we realize we are all in this together.
