We are thrilled beyond measure..!
I believe we all have cause to celebrate, hope and move forward - the furture is looking a lot brighter for a lot of people around the world -
Thank You America..!
In my humble opinion history will be made when this many people sign up to vote and vote not based on the race of the person who is running but simply because it's the presidential race.
Is that your own photo?
Very nice! Wow! You had a very long line.
I waited almost an hour to vote. A nice change from the usual election, when voting seems like a solitary act.
Hi guys,
Thanks for the comments! :) This isn't my picture. I had to hunt one up on Flickr because there was no line where I was. I liked this shot! (click on it and it will lead you to their profile.)
A lot of people near me voted early...I was kind of hoping for a line. :(
David,
I agree with you. I wanted a bit of a line just for that reason. But no, here there were like three cops and no lines.
Lauren,
I hope people weren't voting solely because of his race.
I voted early and had about an hour wait. It was raining slightly and the line started outside, but you know what? It was worth it. I remember feeling so good after I voted.
Hi John,
Voting does have that effect! :D
Amazing to see these long lines!! And anazing to witess such an historical event!!
I hope that we can all see the good that has come from the election and get past the negative stuff. I am hoping and praying for a real "United" States.

Jennifer,
It was awesome! :)
Welcome CountryMom,
Thanks for stopping by. :) I am so with you! I want the country to stop worrying about politics, and stand together!
I'm way late, but still wanted to comment. Regardless of what the haters say, history was made on Nov. 4th 2008. Even though there was a line at my precinct, the volunteers did an outstanding job of expediting the voting process. It only took me about a half hour.
Malcolm,
You are absolutely right! :)
