A Much Needed Message From the Universe

I saw this here and here. I really needed to read it today, and I'm sure we all could use a reminder like this from time to time.

Reference: LIFE

This is The Universe. Today I will be handling ALL of your problems for you. I do NOT need your help. So, have a nice day and have some fun… okay… and remember, I love you.

P.S. And also remember…

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do NOT attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFTUTD (something for the Universe to do) box. I will get to it AT THE RIGHT TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in UNIVERSAL time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don’t despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work, think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad, think of the person who has never known what it’s like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend, think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance, think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror, think of the cancer patient in chemotherapy who wishes she had the hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn’t live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people’s bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities, remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

Should you decide to share this with a friend or three, Thank you. You may have touched their life in ways you will never know!

Now, you go and have a nice day… THE UNIVERSE

Well, considering your previous post (even tho the doggie is oh so adorable) these are good sentiments to remember. It's not always easy to put them into action, but once a person reflects upon them it certainly helps put things in perspective.

btw, I LOVE your "Today Is" calendar. Too cute!

When you think you have it bad, all you have to do is look around to see that perhaps it's not so bad.

Short story-- I knew a very happy man once. He worked in the same building with me. For years he traveled the hallways and popped into my office to say hello. He always had a smile on his face and something nice to say about me or someone else. He had this energy, this amazing light around him all the time. I felt privileged to know him and spend some quiet moments in conversation.

This happy man who had fallen out of a tree and broken his neck, had sat in a wheelchair since he was fourteen, paralyzed from the neck down. He moved away a few years ago and I never heard from him again. I think about him often though, especially when I am not feeling so good with the Universe.

Thanks for sharing...I needed to read this too.

Hey the Universe "cc"'d me on this message ;)

Glad you feel a bit better. Lets face it, there are going to be days when life just sucks and the dark clouds hang over us no matter what...but luckily the clouds do blow away.

(hmm I feel like singing a Bob Dylan song now....)

This is some optimism ,jessica..
Its soo cool.We often find ourselves in situations so sad and depressing and if we can think this way,we not only feel better, but end up as good human beings..
loved reading it..
And as you kept this post,I hope that you are out of your blues..
take care..:)

sometimes we need to be reminded how good we have it compared to someone else. We have forgotten how to appreciate these good things that happen to us and thats the reason we are never happy

Thank you so much Jessica, yes it is a message that we all need to be reminded of now and then.

I will post this up sometime in the future as my turn to remind us all :)

Have a nice day mate... Cheers...

Great post Jessica - we all need to put things into perspective sometimes and remember how priviledged we are - if only because we are alive and well living in the northern hemisphere where famine is unheard of..!
Have a great day :)
