One of My Biggest Pet Peeves...
is when people ask for advice...you give it, and then they automatically question its validity, dismiss it, or make excuses about why they can't follow it. Don't get me wrong, I don't care if people follow my advice. (I don't claim to be an expert on anything!) I just don't want to waste my time advising people that obviously don't want to be advised.

EXACTLY! I know exactly what you mean. I think people that do that are really wanting you to tell them what they want to hear and when you don't they argue. Does that make any sense?
YES!!! It makes total sense. I think people just want agreement with whatever they already decided is right. If you say something they don't want to hear they subconsciously assume it's wrong.
