Practice and Patience
Just a couple lines I jotted down yesterday:
Sometimes I lose myself, my essence, like many of us do, buried under the sludge of daily life and the stories of the mind. The fix for this loss of trueness gets easier with practice and patience. As I sit -- still, silent, and mindful -- I am able to slowly peel back each layer to reveal my authentic heart.

Spring is Here!
And just that fact makes me very happy! Warmer weather and sunshine are just some of the wonderful things that come with Spring! I've been kind of a hermit this winter, it's been a cold one and I've been trying to stay warm while hibernating just a bit! Good exciting things are on the way...I can just feel it!!! Oh, and I'm planning a small potted garden this year....let's see how green my thumb really is! I've added this book to my collection for research! I love it...colorful and descriptive--great for a first time gardener!

A Morning Offering
I wanted to share these beautiful words this morning.
A Morning Offering
I bless the night that nourished my heart
To set the ghosts of longing free
Into the flow and figure of dream
That went to harvest from the dark
Bread for the hunger no one sees.
All that is eternal in me
Welcome the wonder of this day.
The field of brightness it creates
Offering time for each thing
To arise and illuminate.
I place on the altar of dawn,
The quiet loyalty of breath.
The tent of thought where I shelter,
Wave of desire I am shore to
And all beauty drawn to the eye.
May my mind come alive today
To the invisible geography
That invites me to new new frontiers,
To break the dead shell of yesterdays,
To risk being disturbed and changed.
May I have the courage today
To live the life that I would love,
To postpone my dream no longer
But to do at last what I came here for
And waste my heart on fear no more.
